What App Space is
App Space runs your containers without you looking after a server. You give it a Docker image or a GitHub repository, it runs it, and it gives the container a public address with HTTPS.
In the dashboard it is under Container Platform.
How it is put together
Section titled “How it is put together”- An App Space is one plan (CPU, memory and disk), one private network and the containers you put in it. You pay for the App Space, not for each container.
- A container is one running program: your app, a database, a cache. All containers in an App Space share its plan. You can give one container a limit of its own.
- The private network connects the containers of one App Space to each other by name. Other App Spaces cannot reach them.
- A public address is something you switch on per container, by exposing the port it listens on. Nothing is reachable from the internet until you do.
- A volume is disk space that keeps its data when a container is restarted or replaced.

If your credit reaches zero, the App Space is frozen and starts again by itself after you add credit. See When your credit runs low.
